Plan the weekend✳
The before, during & getting home.
Our anchors: the house and two Shpongle nights. Current intentions: groceries, a Thursday warm-up and good food. Optional: every extra ticket, reservation and excursion below. A listing is not a booking. Leave gaps.
Thursday · Oct 22
Arrive. Put the bags down.
Arrive & settle: arrival times and house check-in are still to confirm. Start with the Safeway grocery run, then put the bags down at Basecamp. Breakfast supplies, snacks and water for the house.
If there is daylight: wander Tennyson, or arrange a Threyda appointment. Thursday is our preferred window; an appointment is required on any day.
Current warm-up idea:The Glitch Mob at Cervantes’, 360° in the round. Doors 8pm / show 8:30pm; separate ticket, booking status to confirm. Late arrivals can skip the mission.
Late: check D.P. Dough’s live ordering window, then head back to the house. Delivery depends on the address. Rest, hang out or soak while house access allows.
Friday · Oct 23
Into the sound.
Choose one daytime mission: an early Indian Hot Springs trip if an appropriate session and transport are confirmed, or stay in town for Meow Wolf / RiNo. Choose whichever fits; leave time to get ready.
Eat early:The Ginger Pig opens 4pm; Fat Sully’s on Tennyson is the casual alternative. Ginger Pig is walk-in only: check the wait for six and keep the Tennyson fallback in reach. Confirm our meal plan. Leave room to return to the house, get ready and travel.
Our show anchor: Shpongle (Simon Posford Live Set), Fillmore, doors 7pm. Supersillyus supports; Cosmic Trigger is also on the advertised Denver bill. 16+ with valid ID. Set and finish times are unconfirmed.
After, if we feel like it:Danceportation or The Church, each separately ticketed; a connection after the Fillmore is not guaranteed. Otherwise food, Basecamp.
Saturday · Oct 24
Back inside.
Slow start:Eloise brunch, hot-tub debrief, or Tennyson. Yesterday’s missed outing is not homework.
Optional upright hours: Meow Wolf timed entry or a no-agenda RiNo mural wander. A possible Red Rocks morning depends on actual visitor access; a show does not mean all-day closure.
Our show anchor: Shpongle (Simon Posford Live Set), Fillmore, doors 7pm. Random Rab supports; Cosmic Trigger is also on the advertised bill. Arrive for the openers.
After: Danceportation night two, SABAI x HOANG at The Church, or late food. Optional; booking status to confirm. Finish by getting all six humans home.
Sunday · Oct 25
Soft landing. Check the clock.
Before choosing a mission: confirm house checkout, luggage arrangements and each person’s departure. Sunday house / hot-tub access after checkout is not confirmed. Have the debrief while access is still agreed.
Breakfast: Eloise on Tennyson (8am–3pm) or Snooze Union Station (6am–3:30pm Sunday). Check the live wait and allow time for six.
If time and transport allow: a slow Tocabe lunch (Sunday noon–8pm), a single in-town art stop, or a separately reserved hot-springs trip west. A soak is a detour from DEN, not an airport stop.
Wheels up: work backward from the actual flight, airline guidance, bags and security, then check traffic or the full dated RTD connection. Confirm everyone’s flight times before setting a departure from the house.
Weekend additions checked Oct 18, 2026 against the linked operators: brunch hours, City O' City, Spookadelia and the Sunday concert. RTD's A Line background gives train travel time, not a guaranteed airport connection. Check live schedules, queues and admission before going.
Still have an evening in you? The Glitch Mob with Madam X and Naasha at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom: a 360° in-the-round set in Denver's Five Points. Separately ticketed; not an official Shpongle gathering.

The Denver Fillmore is a 1907 former ice rink turned concert hall at Colfax & Clarkson in Capitol Hill — a grand general-admission room, crowned with chandeliers and very serious about its sound. First time? Here's what to know before you walk up.
Where it is
1510 N Clarkson St, Denver, CO 80218 — that's East Colfax at Clarkson, in Capitol Hill (not the San Francisco Fillmore, not Red Rocks). Doors open at 7:00 PM both nights. These are 16+ shows: every guest needs valid ID, and under-16s cannot enter even with an adult. The floor is standing general admission.
Bag policy
Keep it small: bags up to 12″ × 6″ × 12″ are allowed, every bag is searched at the door, and non-clear bags get extra searching — which means a slower line. A small clutch beats a backpack, and there's no re-entry once you're in.
Parking & transit
The Fillmore says it does not own or operate parking, with limited off-site parking available for purchase and metered street parking nearby. The venue itself recommends rideshare or public transit — buses run straight down Colfax past the door. Whatever you choose, arrive early; Colfax on a show night is its own event.
Entry essentials
No marijuana in any form. Leave full-face costume coverings, hula-hoops, poi and glow sticks at home. Ask the venue about health masks or accessibility needs.
No outside food or drinks, including refillable or factory-sealed water bottles. Concessions and bars are inside; the venue is cashless and offers a fee-free cash-to-card exchange. Bring valid ID for admission as well as age-restricted purchases. Balcony and box seats exist above the GA floor, and accessible seating can be arranged in advance through the venue.
Doors-night tips: eat nearby first — Illegal Pete's or Pete's Kitchen if you're in a hurry, Steuben's Uptown or Ace Eat Serve if you're not (full rundown in Eat: Tennyson & Beyond). Once you're in, hit the merch booth early — the popular sizes sell out long before the encore. And don't drift in late: the openers are worth the whole evening — Supersillyus on Friday, Random Rab on Saturday, and Cosmic Trigger advertised for both nights. Exact set times remain unconfirmed.
Ticketmaster confirms the Clarkson address. The Friday and Saturday ticket pages specify 16+ with valid ID. The venue defines their 7pm ticket time as doors; no opener, headliner or finish time is confirmed here. The countdown uses Denver time (MDT). The official bag and entry guidance and venue FAQ confirm the 12 × 6 × 12 inch bag limit, cashless payment, bottle prohibition, and no re-entry (checked Oct 17). Recheck the official venue before going. Urgent-care hours and the 24-hour NurseLine are listed in Survival Kit.
Around the house
Keep arrivals and late conversations neighborly.
Back at Basecamp
Our house is 2324 W 53rd Pl, Denver, CO 80221, on a residential street near Berkeley Hills Park. Keep arrivals and the hot-tub debrief neighborly. House access follows the actual booking and checkout, including Sunday. Directions to Basecamp ↗
Book before the mission
Meow Wolf daytime entry and Danceportation are separate tickets; optional outings still need agreement and availability. Confirm the crew’s actual tickets, tables or timed slots before making a plan around them.
Coat check and rideshare
Fall–spring coat check is just past the main lobby on the right: $5 per coat, $10 per bag, credit card only. This does not override entry or bag-size restrictions. The venue lists rideshare pickup/drop-off at Colfax and Clarkson; follow staff and the actual app pin. Venue details · checked Oct 19 ↗

The show ends when it ends. Danceportation lists a 2am finish. Six shpongled humans still need to cross Denver: make the return plan in daylight and save the address before doors.
Rideshare is our current Plan A
For six, check an XL’s actual passenger capacity or arrange two ordinary cars. Availability, pickup times, luggage room and fares vary; keep the crew together or explicitly pair up. If the app isn't on your phone yet, fix that before the show, not on a Colfax curb with 4% battery: Uber ride options → · Get the Lyft app →
Meet, then request the ride
Meeting point: to confirm with crew. Account for all six before leaving or agree pairs if splitting up. The venue lists Colfax and Clarkson for rideshare pickup/drop-off; confirm the actual app pin and follow staff. Pickup can get congested. Check the pickup point in your ride app and choose a well-lit place where the driver can legally stop. If moving away from the venue, check the route and your surroundings first. Compare the app's actual fare and wait; a cheaper ride is not guaranteed.
Set it up before doors
Save Basecamp as a favorite in the ride app before the show. Keep a screenshot if mobile service gets strange. At 1am, getting home should be two taps and zero thinking — and keep the charger from the Survival Kit handy so the phone survives to make them.
Transit fallback · dated routes and last buses
RTD: check the whole connection
The 15 and 15L serve East Colfax. Since September 27, they use the new center-of-Colfax stations between Broadway and Colorado Boulevard. Use the designated crossings and check your boarding station and direction in RTD before setting off. Last departures depend on your stop, day and connections; check the dated trip rather than relying on a general cutoff.
Check official RTD schedules · Route 15. For a trip after midnight, enter Saturday Oct 24 after the Friday show, or Sunday Oct 25 after the Saturday show. Check the whole trip to Basecamp, including the last connection. A timetable service day can continue past midnight; use the trip planner for the actual calendar date. Your final ride is not confirmed by this guide.
The Ginger Pig: walk-in from 4pm, check the wait for six. Fat Sully’s · Tennyson is the casual fallback. For a daytime meal, Tocabe; for a slow morning, Eloise. Confirm the meal plan together.

Near Fillmore: Pete’s Kitchen is the all-night Friday/Saturday fallback. D.P. Dough · Colfax posts 3am closing Friday/Saturday; check the order window. Near Basecamp: Fat Sully’s · Tennyson posts a 2am venue close, but its kitchen cutoff needs checking before the ride.
After a second party around 2am
Pony Up’s kitchen closes 1am. A 2am bar close does not mean a 2am meal. Check D.P. Getting home and eating what is already at the house is also an option while house access allows.

An eclipse, a flute, a studio full of strange materials. Follow the albums, the changing face and the people behind them. Historical details and credits are linked where available; some remain unverified.
Est. 1996Chobham, Surrey
It started with an eclipse
Shpongle’s origin story links a solar eclipse in India with Simon Posford and Raja Ram’s effort to rebuild the experience as sound. What came out was a 20-minute piece, “…And the Day Turned to Night,” which still closes the first album. Their early track, “Vapour Rumours,” appeared on TIP Records' Infinite Excursions compilation.
The name, per band lore: someone at a party asked Raja Ram how he was feeling, and he answered, “I feel… shpongled.” He has since defined it as an umbrella word for positive, euphoric feelings — which, honestly, tracks. The duo are credited as progenitors of psybient: traditional music from all over the world, vocals, flute, and western synthesizers bent into something Posford describes as “like nothing you've ever heard before.”
The division of labor has held for thirty years: Posford runs the synths, the studio, and the live instrumentation; Raja Ram brings the grand concepts and the flute arrangements. The debut's credits list Posford on synthesizer, guitar, and — officially — “rubber band, crisp packet, drips.”
Posford was working as a studio engineer at Youth's Butterfly Studios in Brixton when he built “LSD” — his first solo track there, released as a Dragonfly single in 1994 and later the opening shot of Hallucinogen's Twisted. He co-founded Twisted Records, the label this entire family lives on, and recorded the early Shpongle albums at his own Hallucinogen Sound Labs in Dorset. His grandfather George was a British composer and producer in the 1930s, so the studio thing runs in the blood.
Crew note: he turns 55 on October 28 — four days after night two. If the Fillmore feels extra celebratory that weekend, you'll know why. (It might not. But it could.)
Raja Ram — the flute half
b. 1941 · Melbourne, AustraliaThe silver flute
Born Ronald Rothfield, he left Australia on the hippie trail in the 1950s, studied flute at the Melbourne Conservatorium, then went to New York in 1965 to study jazz. He was a founding member of Quintessence, the London raga-rock band — he played flute at the first two Glastonbury Fayres, in 1970 and 1971. Two decades later he co-founded The Infinity Project and TIP Records, and became half of Shpongle: the concepts, the arrangements, the illustrations, and that silver flute.
Perspective: he is 84 years old, and turns 85 this December. These Denver dates are billed as Simon Posford Live; this guide does not confirm a Raja Ram appearance. Raja Ram is part of the history below; his Denver appearance is unconfirmed.

The catalogSix albums, one farewell that didn't take
Are You Shpongled? · 1998
The debut — seven tracks recorded in Dorset with Ott editing and compiling, from “Divine Moments of Truth” to the 20-minute eclipse closer. The big bang, basically.
The palette blows wide open — Spanish and East Asian instrumentation woven through the electronics, the mask gone watercolor over still water.
2001 CD sleeve art direction & design · Mark Neal, Dusk Digital Watercolours & illustrations · Raja Ram Original mask · Sat Ram Bradley TWSCD13 booklet credits
The resurrection — “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing” is built around Manu Delago's Hang. The sleeve’s serenity has a punchline: Storm Thorgerson’s trainee holy man is still practicing his levitation. Enlightenment, apparently, comes with wet laundry.
Also in the crates:Shpongle Remixed (2003) · the EPs Divine Moments of Truth (2000), Dorset Perception (2004), The God Particle (2010) and Carnival of Peculiarities (2021) · concert films from the Roundhouse (2008) and Red Rocks · Improvisations for Piano & Flute (2024), billed under Simon and Raja's own names · and remastered vinyl editions rolling out since 2017.

The faceThe Shpongletron
The face across the sleeves
The six-eyed face appears on Are You Shpongled?, Shpongle’s 1998 debut, and returns in changing forms across much of the catalog. Ineffable Mysteries takes a photographic detour: a would-be levitator over a lake, rather than another mask portrait. Explore the debut on Shpongle’s official release page.
On stage, the face becomes architecture. Zebbler Studios’ 2011 project surrounds the DJ booth with projection surfaces, two pairs of wings and a laser-shooting eye. Its Shpongletron 3 project page documents pixel-mapped LEDs and infinity mirrors on the 2014 tour. This is stage history; a Shpongletron return for Denver 2026 remains unconfirmed.
The galleryThe Art of Shpongle
Shpongle has never been a sound-only project. The mask is logo, totem, and stage set at once — the art is a map of the same territory the music explores, and at the shows it stops being packaging and becomes the room itself. Here's the visual canon beyond the sleeves (those live with the albums, up in The catalog): the face in its many forms, and the artists who keep reimagining it.
2026 tour artwork
The emblem watching over this weekend: part mask, part mandala, all Shpongle. This image appears in Shpongle’s 2026 US tour announcement. Artist and individual work title unconfirmed.
Android Jones's definitive take on the face: masks within masks within masks, portrait and circuit board at once. Jones is family — he's mixed live visuals for Shpongle, Denver shows included — the face opening into more faces as you look.

The Garden of Unearthly Delights
The poster for the “final” full-band shows at Red Rocks, May 2019 — a Bosch-inspired wonderland of tentacles, orbs and one small giraffe. The image matches the standard-color artwork shown in the publisher’s Artist Edition listing: a linoleum-block print on Stonehenge paper. The separate purple colorway is a screen print. Those historical full-band performances are separate from the Simon Posford Live Set booking in Denver in 2026.
A later digital interpretation: in a 2003 artist-written note, Calx describes rebuilding the mask as a 3D mesh for a limited vinyl edition and the MiniDisc version. That is separate from the original CD’s sculpture and sleeve credits.
The mask as architecture — Zebbler Studios’ projection-mapped stage, with the laser eye firing over the booth. The studio documents the project for the 2011 tour. Its return this weekend is unconfirmed.
Historical collaborations, not a promised Denver 2026 cast. The official 2026 announcement bills a Simon Posford live set; these earlier projects do not confirm who or what will appear.
Sean Bowes made animated projection content; Zebbler Studios handled stage design and LED programming. Bowes dates his work to a 2013 debut and 2014 refresh; Zebbler’s Shpongletron 3 page labels 2014.
Nova Han Productions credits its Red Rocks work with art direction, production, costumes, props and sourcing performers.
Saori Kanda describes dancing while painting LIGHT, wearing an Amenouzume-inspired costume. UV and colored lighting transformed how the painting appeared.
Randal Roberts and Morgan Mandala — two pillars of modern visionary painting — take the face onto canvas: all tentacles, ruffles, and third eyes, grinning like it knows something.

Tales and Codex cover images come from Shpongle’s music page. Earlier packaging views remain available: Tales and Codex; the exact editions of those earlier packaging views remain unconfirmed. The original 2001 Tales and 2005 Nothing Lasts CD sleeve credits are now supported by the linked booklet scans above. Codex VI’s cover designer remains unconfirmed.
Linked credits distinguish the 1998 mask and sleeve, the 2013 sleeve, Storm Thorgerson’s cover design, AJ Masthay’s poster, Zebbler Studios’ stage, Singer’s poster remix and the Android Jones / Dead Fish Studios artwork-and-frame roles. A project page is not proof of a 2026 appearance or of a photograph’s authorship.
Album headings use original release years. Spotify destination titles were checked Oct 17: the debut links to its 2017 remaster, Nothing Lasts to its 2019 remaster and Ineffable to its 2020 remaster. Playback was not tested. The artist’s Codex release page dates that album to Oct 23, 2017.
Where Simon started. Twisted (1995) is one of the most influential psytrance albums ever made and “LSD” is close to the genre's founding document. Then The Lone Deranger (1997), and In Dub (2002), Ott's dubbed-out reworking of the catalog.
Younger Brother
Posford + Benji Vaughan
Posford with Benji Vaughan (aka Prometheus), formed after the two made a remix for a charity record. A Flock of Bleeps (2003), The Last Days of Gravity (2007 — Thorgerson cover), Vaccine (2011), and Mutually Assured Distraction (2026). The live band even played Denver and Boulder, with Marc Brownstein and Joe Russo in the ranks.
The Infinity Project
Raja Ram + Graham Wood
Raja Ram with Graham Wood and Anjee Sian — ground zero for Goa trance, with Posford sitting in on sessions. Their label, TIP Records (founded 1994), is the scene's other great institution; Mystical Experiences and Feeling Weird both landed in 1995.
1200 Micrograms
Raja Ram + GMS
Raja Ram's other party — the psytrance supergroup he fronts with members of Growling Mad Scientists. Maximum throttle, zero chill: the evil twin of Shpongle's downtempo sprawl, and somehow the same flute player.
Shpongle Live — the full band
The rare configuration
The duo, expanded: Michele Adamson and Hari Om on vocals, Pete Callard on guitar, a full rhythm section — up to a 12-piece ensemble. First live show: Japan, 2001. The full band sold out London's Roundhouse on Halloween 2008, made its US ensemble debut at Camp Bisco in 2011, and played Red Rocks in 2014. The two Red Rocks nights in May 2019 were announced as the last full public concerts. With these two, “last” has always been a flexible term.
The rest of the tree
Twisted family
Posford's lockdown solo album Flux & Contemplation (2020), his collaborations with Youth (Dub Trees, Celtic Cross), and Ott — the Twisted studio fixture who edited and compiled the debut and turned Hallucinogen into In Dub. One label, one Dorset studio, thirty years of strange fruit.
New here? Start with these: “Divine Moments of Truth,” “…And the Day Turned to Night,” “Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness,” “Dorset Perception,” “Around the World in a Tea Daze,” “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing,” “Brain in a Fish Tank” — and “A New Way to Say ‘Hooray’,” which smuggles in a Terence McKenna sample explaining DMT. Naturally.

Fan-made corner (unofficial): the fans run a cottage industry and it is gloriously weird. Etsy’s general Shpongle search and its art-only search are changing marketplace results, not curated or verified stock. Examples from the original guide include the “Shpongleyes” tee, ice-dyed shirts and Tauritari’s UV-reactive tribute tapestry. Doors are 7pm both nights; individual set times remain unconfirmed. Ticketmaster lists Supersillyus on Friday and Random Rab on Saturday; the Denver poster bills Cosmic Trigger both nights. Listen below if you want a first encounter before the room fills.
Supersillyus
Fri · Oct 23Cinematic psychedelic
Robert Uslan's one-man traveling circus: enormously layered, cinematic psychedelic electronica where every track plays like a short film with a plot twist. He's shared bills with Hallucinogen himself, so Friday's opening slot is family business — expect wormholes inside wormholes and left turns nobody saw coming. This is the on-ramp, not the waiting room.
Rab Clinton has been at this since 1998 — a veteran multi-instrumentalist with around a dozen albums of downtempo electronica built from real instruments, including The Geometry of Coincidence. He's famous for sunrise sets; Saturday he performs the same trick indoors, at night — a sunrise after dark, technically; his set time is unconfirmed. If Friday is the launch, Rab is the slow golden orbit before it.
Jamie Grashion is Twisted Music's resident producer and about as inside as it gets: he engineered at Youth's studio, became Posford's assistant, helped build the Shpongle Live shows — the legendary 2019 Red Rocks nights included — and got handed the keys to the catalog for the official Shpongle Remixed by Cosmic Trigger album. The Denver poster in Fractaled Visions’ Sept 18 announcement bills him for Oct 23 & 24. Listen for the family resemblance. Start with his remixes of “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing” and “I Am You.”
Jared’s six temporary tattoo eyes: three stacked pairs in Shpongle-mask formation, at the forehead, temples and just above his real eyes, applied to clean, dry skin. The “Six Eyes” idea: one extra temporary tattoo eye per person. Participation is up to each of us. Tattoos only; no face paint or adhesives.

What is confirmed, reported or still a rumor?
Checked Oct 17: Friday and Saturday list Simon Posford Live, with Supersillyus and Random Rab respectively. The artist’s tour page lists the following Oakland weekend.
Advertised billing: Fractaled Visions’ Sept 18 post includes the Denver Oct 23–24 poster naming Cosmic Trigger both nights and visuals by Johnathan Singer & Fractaled Visions. The artist’s caption says they will work back-to-back with Singer all weekend. These are advertised appearances, not a set-time schedule. Shpongletron, Darshan Dance Company and live painting remain unconfirmed. Direct posts support the lineup and Blue Pan giveaway below; profile links are background only. Party Guru’s Oct 20 / Oct 21 timing conflict remains unresolved; see the dated background notes. Blue Pan’s post supplies no cutoff time. Neither giveaway’s current entry status is confirmed here.

The Denver bills & visuals
Both nights are billed as Simon Posford Live. Ticketmaster lists Supersillyus on Friday and Random Rab on Saturday. The Denver poster shared by Fractaled Visions bills Cosmic Trigger on Oct 23 & 24 and visuals by Johnathan Singer & Fractaled Visions. In the Sept 18 caption, Fractaled Visions announces back-to-back visuals with Singer all weekend. Arrive for the whole bill; individual set times remain unconfirmed.
Possible appearances include Darshan Dance Company in UV-reactive costumes — blacklight ballet for your third eye — and artist @derangelized for live painting both nights. These appearances have not been confirmed here. If announced, expect art in real time, on and off the stage.
Both Shpongle nights are already sorted. These dated promotions are not entry recommendations; check the original post for results or closed entry.

Party Guru advertises tickets for both nights, but its winner-selection dates conflict. Its older rules listed conflicting Oct 20 / Oct 21 dates. Check the original page for current status.
Add them to the wish list. Neither is confirmed here for this Denver weekend. The hunger is international and it is not subtle. Watch the band’s news feed for dated announcements.
The run doesn't end in Denver. The tour continues to the Fox Theater in Oakland the following weekend, Oct 30–31 — Halloween weekend, for everyone already doing dangerous math in their head on the flight home.
